    Graduate Nurse Program

    Graduate Nurse 2011 Opportunities

    ***Updated April 4, 2011***

Covenant Health is committed to assisting our area nursing graduates in making the transition into the fascinating world of nursing.  Each new graduate nurse who is hired by Covenant Health undergoes a customized competency assessment called Performance-Based Development System (PBDS). The graduate nurse is then assigned to a specially-trained clinical coach to help guide them through this time of transition while allowing graduates the autonomy to grow and advance as individuals.

December 2010 and March 2011 Graduates - Feel free to search through our available RN positions and apply online for positions of interest to you.  Once we receive your application, you will be contacted via email or telephone to complete a brief screening interview, and then your application will be forwarded to the appropriate hiring managers for their review.  The managers will contact you directly if they are interested in scheduling an interview.

April/May 2011 Graduates - Beginning April 1, 2011 you may search through our available RN positions and apply online for positions of interest to you.  (Please do NOT begin applying for RN positions prior to April 1, 2011.)  Once we receive your application, you will be contacted via email or telephone to complete a brief screening interview, and then your application will be forwarded to the appropriate hiring managers for their review. The managers will contact you directly if they are interested in scheduling an interview.

We will not be posting a Graduate Nurse position this year.  All new graduate nurses are to apply for posted vacant RN positions.
***Please only apply for positions that indicate that New Graduate nurses are welcome.  If you apply for a position that requires nursing experience, your application will not be considered.  ***

Critical Care Opportunities for New Graduate Nurses – While our hospitals are not going to offering a formal “Critical Care Internship” as they have done in years past, Parkwest Medical Center (and perhaps other Covenant Health facilities) will be able to consider new graduate nurses for vacant RN positions after April 1, 2011.  New graduate nurses who are hired into these positions will undergo PBDS assessment described above, and they will be assigned to a clinical coach who will tailor their unit-specific, individualized orientation and training into the critical care area.

To expedite the application process, please ask two of your clinical instructors to submit references for you at the below web site:
