• Completes nursing history and initiates patient education;
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members;
• Implements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis.
• Evaluates care outcomes;
• Problem solves and coordinates unit/patient care assignments, with supervision.
• Introduces new employees/students to unit routines;
• Participated on unit-based committees; Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills (checklist) to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served.
• Supervises LPNs, PCAs, HUCs.
• Minimum experience;
• New graduate, within first year of orientation.
• Minimum Field-of-Expertise
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing with diploma, ADN, BSN or MSN plus valid Tennessee License.
• Continuing Education: 10 contact hours required annually (5 hours to enhance clinical expertise). Fire, safety/security, infection control and CPR are required in addition to these hours.
