We ask our employees to give their best because of the people we serve.

What's it like to work at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System's ED? According to Sonya, the nurse manager, "If you enjoy working in a fast paced, ever changing, think-on-your-feet environment and want to learn and see new things every day, the Emergency Department may be for you!

Every ED can be a challenging and stressful place to work, and the Morristown Hamblen ED is no exception. But our highly skilled team of physicians, nurses, and caregivers meets the challenges and exceeds expectations day in and day out. The result is a community resource that our patients have come to rely on for their health and well-being." #meetthehiringmanager

Have a job interview coming up? Our recruiter Marlo has a few tips for you:

"1. Never attend and interview in anything other than business casual attire, or if the job is clinical, scrubs. Shorts, mini -skirts or jeans are never appropriate. Dress for the job you want!

2. A firm hand shake will go a long way. A strong handshake conveys confidence and strength.

3. Don't wear strong perfumes! We all like to smell good, but some people have allergies.

4. Always bring a resume, don’t assume a manager has your information. Managers have hectic days, so show them you are put together.

5. Show your personality, look your interviewer in the eye and don’t be afraid to say, “I don’t know the answer to that question.” It is better to have them explain versus trying to guess and hope you are right. People want real, just be you."
